Hello everyone,
I am Cyril Vendact,
the channel manager for Keepit in Europe.
I am delighted to welcome today Cydic from Innovision.
Thank you very much Cyril.
Cydic Eliebekus,
founder and president of Innovision.
Very well Cydic, could you tell us what
cyber resilience represents for you?
In the IT world,
in the digital world,
when we talk about resilience,
resilience is above all to have the means,
the possibilities to restore an operation
in the event of an adverse situation.
And for that,
that's why companies today have something called a PCA or a PRA,
so a plan of activity continuity or a plan of activity recovery.
To put it in a very simple way,
in the cyber resilience plan,
it is a very important immune system
for a company.
What are the three biggest challenges
to be met to achieve cyber resilience?
From this long list of challenges today
concerning the cyber resilience part,
the first challenge is the sophistication of cyber threats.
Today, we see
more and more cyber threats becoming
more sophisticated
with the use,
for example,
of artificial intelligence technologies.
So that's the first challenge.
And second,
we also have a real problem today
with the resources of qualified people
in the world of cybersecurity.
So,
as we know very well,
today,
cyber criminals have very good knowledge,
they are very good at what they do,
but unfortunately today,
when we talk about the world of cybersecurity,
we don't
really have a lot of cyber professionals with the right knowledge,
to be able to really achieve cyber resilience.
And the third part that I think is very important,
is the complexity of a modern modern system today.
As an example,
if we take today's information system,
so there is a mix of on-premise technologies,
the use of the cloud,
of IoT, of mobile peripherals.
And today,
to keep a system,
an ecosystem,
rather,
as diverse as it is,
to keep it up to date,
to secure it,
it's really a major challenge.
Sidique,
if you had one piece of advice to give
to data protection officials today,
what would it be?
Hope is not a strategy.
So it's important to be proactive.
And it's also very important today to have a robust
and reliable cyber resilience plan
to be able to protect and defend against cyber threats
that are becoming more and more sophisticated.
