The reality of SaaS data protection: Insights from the Keepit Annual Data Report 2026
April 30, 2026 04:00 PM Europe/Copenhagen
What really happens in organizations’ SaaS data backups?
Not what policies say. Not what surveys claim. But what actually shows up in production systems when someone clicks “backup” or “restore.”
In this webinar, we unpack the findings of the Keepit Annual Data Report 2026, a research report built entirely on aggregated, anonymized backup and recovery activity from real-world SaaS environments. No questionnaires. No self‑reported best intentions. Just observable behavior at scale.
Join Keepit CTO Jakob Østergaard in conversation with Microsoft MVP and Keepit Senior Director of Product Paul Robichaux as they explore what millions of backup and restore operations reveal about operational resilience, recovery readiness, and the blind spots most organizations don’t realize they have.
Expect a practical, data-driven discussion on how SaaS recovery actually works in the real world — and what that means for architects and IT leaders designing for resilience, not theory.
Key takeaways:
What real restore behavior tells us about everyday data loss and recovery patterns
The mismatch between what organizations protect most and what they restore least
How to use recovery data as an architectural signal, not just an audit artifact
