I'm Paul Robichaux from Keepit and I'm here to introduce you to the toolbox we built to integrate Keepit with your favorite AI tooling to simplify and automate your data protection workflows. We're using MCP, the Open Model Context Protocol. Think of it like USB-C, but for AI integration. Our Keepit MCP can provide metadata about your Keepit backups to your LLM to help it understand your backups. We enrich the context your LLM uses so it knows what's being backed up and how those backups are working. Our AI experience is read-only by design, so you can ask questions without copying data out or creating a new data store. Your data stays put and you stay in control of your data. We never expose the contents of your backed up data and we don't provide a way for the MCP to make changes to your backup configurations. This metadata-first, read-only approach helps you in three important ways. First, it helps you inspect. You can ask questions like, run a full backup health check and flag any connector that's never been backed up. The MCP feeds data to the LLM and reports back in an instant to surface critical issues so you can act quickly. Second, it helps you investigate. Ask it to analyze my audit logs from the last 90 days and tell me if you see anything weird. It can comb through thousands of events, spotting patterns that a human would probably miss. It does the tedious work of looking for correlations and finding oddities that humans might not see. Third, it helps you prove. Let's say you have an upcoming audit. Just tell it to generate the compliance report for our next GDPR or HIPAA or DORA audit. It automates a tedious but critical process, turning what could take a team days into something done in seconds. Now you can get even faster answers with less manual digging and more confidence in the data behind every decision. With no compromise to the security or the integrity of your backup data.
